What is it that has lured men and women to Harley Davidson motorcycles for generations? Is it the pull of the open road, the undying sense of freedom, the sound of the pipes as you cruise down the road? Whatever the reason, there isn’t any doubt that the culture inspired by the world well-known Harley Davidson has changed the way people live.
Ask any proprietor of a Harley, and they’re going to almost all say that you simply cannot get the feeling of ultimate freedom from anything within the world. It’s a man’s head area, his open road dream, the age old instance and definition of whole coolness. As for the women, properly, who can deny {that a} man on a Harley is anything less than attractive? Perhaps it’s the lingering influence of James Dean in his leather-based jacket, however there are few things on this life as tempting as a motorbike and a clear road ahead.
All through the years, Harley Davidson has built its motorbike empire with unparalleled quality and buyer satisfaction. Altering and evolving because the eras of America changed and grew, they took the bike community from the very fringes and outcasts of communities into the mainstream and brilliant lights of cities and towns everywhere. What started many generations in the past when bikes and bikers had been still regarded down on by mainstream society has now change into a family word with unsurpassed fame.
Even after all these years Harley has remained a favourite amongst skilled bikers and new comers alike. Is it the quality of the bikes and components, or is it the legend of the title that has stored customers loyally coming again generation after generation? The reality of all of it is that it’s just a little bit of both. Whereas some more devoutly American and traditional bikers have begun to precise anger with the corporate as a result of current alternative they made to have some elements built and assembled abroad, it definitely has not slowed their production any nor has it damaged the corporate’s revenue.
While it’s true that in earlier years Harley Davidson earned much of its loyal customer base by being completely built and assembled in America, the small portion of motorbike fanatics who’ve fought towards Harley’s new outsourcing insurance policies have achieved little or no to damage their pristine reputation.
One other aspect the Harley Davidson Firm has going for it’s the incredibly loyal feminine buyer base it has picked up just throughout the final ten years. Harley completed something that no other motorcycle firm had been able to do previously- they effectively built, marketed, and sold motorcycles to a largely feminine demographic. Choosing to build a brand new line of motorcycles that had been smaller, lighter, easier to deal with, and crafted with a woman’s body shape in mind, these bikes supplied easy electric starting programs and have been completely made for smaller women. This opened up the door for a whole new group of shoppers that had by no means earlier than been marketed to within the motorbike business. Previously women were used as fashions or in advertisements on the backseat of the bike- but now they were in the entrance and driving.
It was an extended collection of good business selections and the flexibility of this firm to alter and evolve with the times that have saved it alive and growing. In the present day Harley-Davidson is essentially the most properly -known bike producer on the earth, and provides one of the most intensive lines of motorcycles in their class than any other company. Many different automobile manufacturers have attempted to recreate the basic American feel and look of the Harley, but with little success.
Whereas almost nobody will argue that a number of the new bikes built in related vogue to a Harley could run as effectively, there may be actually no bike that can fairly match the distinctive sound of a Harley-Davidson and let’s face it- there isn’t a Honda in this world that would ever be as cool as a Harley Davidson.

Here is our Arai Profile review.
Arai is the only motorcycle helmet manufacturer that offers its helmets in different internal head shapes. Arai make a great helmet.
Like all Arai helmets, the Arai Proile Solid Helmet’s shell was hand sculpted by Arai craftsmen, not a computer. This helmet’s ScLc (Super Complex Laminate Construction) shell utilizes Arai’s proprietary aerospace fiberglass to achieve an exceptionally strong, flexible, yet lightweight shell. The Profile’s Long Oval (LO) interior shape was specifically developed to give the most comfort and best fit for riders with long narrow head-shapes.
The interior of the Arai Profile Helmet is what I would call moderately plush. I’ve tried on helmets that used softer materials in the lining and padding but the Arai is certainly nicer inside than a lot of other brands.
The Arai profile caters to folks with long oval shaped heads who get pressure points on the forehead from intermediate oval helmets. For round heads out there the Arai RX-Q is quite a comfortable fit.Head shape is critical when it comes to proper helmet fitting.
For all of you riders with an excessive amount of brain capacity, Arai has introduced the Profile model in size XXXL.
The new size is initially limited to two solid colors, Black and White. But there are plans to expand the range of colors in the future, although the other solid colors can now be special-ordered. Those colors are Aluminum Gray, Aluminum Silver, Black Frost, Gray Frost, Silver Frost, Race Red, Sport Blue and Sport Yellow. You can see them all on the Profile page of the 2008 Helmet Line section.
Arai feels that one major reason for our helmets’ legendary reputation for exceptional comfort and fit is our belief that the shape of a rider’s head (the relationship between its length and width) is as important as the head’s size in getting the best helmet fit and comfort. In other words, two riders can have identical head sizes, but if one’s shape is long and narrow, and the other’s is round (the front-to-back and side-to-side dimensions are very close), both riders cannot get the best fit in the same helmet shape.
Paying such close attention to all-day rider comfort is why Arai is credited with introducing the concept of different shell shapes to the motorcycle industry.
The Arai Profile is Snell M2010 compliant.
Features:-
- long oval fit
- brow vent faceshield ventilation system
- optically correct re-formed faceshields
- de mist lock faceshield helps clear fogging
- removable breathguard, liner and cheek pads
- fibreglass shell is stronger and lighter
- free flow system reduces wind turbulence
- multiple foam interiors for comfort
- pull down chin spoiler
The Arai Profile size XL weighs 3 lbs., 10-3/8 oz. its about 1658 grams. It’s slightly much heavier than the XL Quantum II and it’s heavier than the 1598 gram average weight of the helmets in the online inventory of helmets.
The Profile use Arai’s infinite adjustment system for lowering and raising the visor; that is, it works via a science of friction device rather than a ratcheting system. Some riders are not fond of this feature, because it never seems to be as nice and smooth as it should be.
The visor also has the safety snap lock on the lower left hand side, which customers also don’t like, because the visor and helmet twists as it overcomes the initial resistance as the visor is eventually lifted. There’s ample padding attached under the chin strap and it feels comfortable.
The Arai Profile helmet is a very well made, comfortable quiet helmet designed for riders with long oval head shapes. It provides superb ventilation, with nearly identical set of top vents, visor and liner to the Quantum II. The Arai Profile is profoundly quiet when all vents are closed.
The Arai RX-Q is billed as a whole new class of helmet that is positioned between street and racing headgear, which in its own line is between the Profile and the Corsair-V. To position it here, Arai states that it offers features initially created for the extremes of racing, re-thought and tailored to the needs of the street.
Essentially, it calls the RX-Q a Corsair-V for the street. Arai announced this helmet in Spring of 2010 discontinuing the Quantum in America. The Arai RX-Q helmet is a new model Like the Arai Vector and the Corsair V Arai call the RX-Q an “Intermidate Oval” Shape. Arai markets the RX-Q helmet as the “ultimate street helmet” because it combines the safety and functionality of Arai’s full-blown race technology with the comfort needed for everyday street riding. Consider it the street savvy cousin of Arai’s Corsair-V.
Arai’s top-line helmets have always been known for their features, and the RX-Q is loaded with them. Close the face shield, push in on the black button on its left side and it clicks closed for positive locking. Or hook it open with a thumb and it lets in a slight cooling/defogging breeze. Speaking of venting, those little black eyebrow vents in the shield open with a click and flow air over the crown. In the center of the wing on the back is a button that, when slid rearward, uncovers paired exhaust vents. It’s a two-step control, but the adjustment is so fine that most riders will simply utilize it as open or closed. Regardless of the position of the exhaust vents, clicking open the pair of top vents (easy to find even while wearing gloves) sends in (depending upon speed) a blast of air. Finally, the chinbar vent sends in a cooling/demisting breeze.
Arai claim that a shell with minimal number of angles and protrusions has better crash performance. They state that the reason for this is that those features catch on the ground adding a risk of twisting during a fall. The Arai RX-Q upper vent scoops and rear exhaust covers are attached with double-sided tape so that these parts will tear away from the shell during a crash rather than being permanently fixed to the helmet and causing a rider’s head to twist during an accident. Arai have made a deliberate effort to eliminate as many protuberances on the helmet shell and the face shield for this reason.
Arai uses handmade fiberglass shells for their helmets claiming fibreglass can be designed to spread the load forces more evenly. Arai also minimizes the number of pass through holes in the shell. The hand made shell and advancements in technology allow Arai to use a smaller shell thus avoiding the “fish bowl” effect where the helmet on your head is far out of proportion to your actual head size. High quality paint thickly applied and stunning graphics have always been synonymous with Arai. The liner fits like it was custom made.
The Arai RX-Q uses the same eye port configuration as the Rx-7 providing excellent visibility. The outward visibility is improved both side-to side and top-to-bottom from the discontinued Quantum. The Arai RX-Q has the same standard Arai face shield system with side pods that they have used for many years. They claim the side pods allow them to design a stronger helmet shell. When it is raised or lowered the face shield does not twist or torque. Arai’s snap ‘n’ hold system make the face shield is incredibly watertight because of the tight fit and full gasket. The face shield does not include a Pinlock system but Arai offers many additional face shields.
Arai technicians established that the best way to extract hot air from a helmet was by negative pressure and designed top mounted diffusers for this reason. The Arai RX-Q has the standard “sugar scoop” style chin vent and an exhaust spoiler and two more always open vents located in the lower rear of the shell. The helmet’s brow vents push air onto the temples and works well.
The Arai RX-Q is not a helmet for wearing sitting upright as the whistling is disturbing but leaning forward 10 to 15 degrees makes the whistling close to disappear. The helmet does not feel top heavy because it has a lower center of gravity from its smaller shell size and low weight.
The Arai RX-Q has a five year warranty and meets DOT and Snell 2010 safety standards. The benefit of this helmet is that you can count on Arai’s focus on safety for their race helmets but you get all the comfort needed for miles upon miles of street riding.
Safety is one of the key factors that you need to take into account if you are a motor cyclist. It is very crucial to get the motorcycle helmet which will act as a protective measure to your head in situation of an accident. Motorcycle helmets are available in various sizes and colours; you are needed to choose a helmet which suits you greatest. Arai helmets come in sizes XXS to XXXL. The helmet decals are one of the newest designs of the bikers that have been brought forth. There attractive style make them stand out from the rest, they are a lot more appropriate if you are riding a bike that is more fashionable, as they blend simply with any new type.
The motorcycle helmets are considered a style statements. Many distinctive helmets designs are available. Arai offer a large selection of designs.
The company that manufacturers Arai helmets was developed in 1926. Hirotake Arai, a Japanese hat maker shifted his focus to motorcycle helmets and the company has become synonymous with professional motorcycle champions and helmets built for pros. What might be the most impressive aspect of Arai helmets is the fact that each one is hand made. In fact, all Arai helmets bear the signature of the creator inside the shell. There is no doubt that Arai helmets are one of the most popular worldwide. Arai helmets are not fashioned for a pure profiting perspective; rather each helmet is a work of art unto itself. In fact, several Arai helmets have actually been showcased in art museums.
Get a helmet that is of quality, this will make it last longer by serving its rightful purpose. If you value your life, then don’t hesitate to get one of the motorcycle helmets from a brand with strong presence on the racing circuit.
Arai road racers did a masterful job putting Arai’s top-of-the-line Corsair-V helmet on the podium at the third round of the 2010 AMA Pro road race championship series at Road Atlanta the weekend of April 17-18. They captured a staggering 14 of 18 podium positions, including sweeping the box in three of the six doubleheader finals over the two-day event.
Because of to this you may find it difficult to pick one. Even if you go shop online the decision is no easier. You can search online for arai helmet reviews in order to make an informed decision.
You could narrow your search by half when you determine between helmets that cover the entire face or one that has the face open. There are benefits and disadvantages of both types. These motorcycle helmets offer better security.
In case you ride a smaller sized motorcycle and you ride only brief distances the open confronted motorcycle helmets are a far better option. Whatever the helmet you buy you need to make sure that it has the DOT sticker. DOT stands for department of transport. They are the government company that is responsible for security requirements of motorcycle helmets. When you purchase a helmet that is certified by them, you are assured that the helmet you are buying is made to meet with the safety standards stipulated by the regulations. So you are sure that if you are unfortunate enough to have an accident that your head is protected correctly.
Since its introduction in 2003, the X-Eleven has been the motorcycle-racing helmet that all others are judged by. For the 2010 model year, Shoei engineers were faced with the grueling task of improving on what is already considered to be the best-performing racing helmet ever conceived.
Born from racing, the all-new Shoei X12 Helmet combines Shoei’s 50 years of helmet building experience with the very latest technology and most advanced materials to bring you the racing helmet of the future. Throughout its history, Shoei has relied on feedback from professional racers around the globe to continually improve its products, and everything learned along the way has now culminated in the finest motorcycle racing helmet ever developed the all-new Shoei X12.
To learn more about the Shoei X12 Helmet please watch our detailed video reviews.
The replacement for Shoei’s previous top-of-the-line X-Eleven helmet, the new X-Twelve is intended to improve upon one of the best hard-core sport/racing helmets on the market, and one of the SR staff’s favorite lids. As far as venting, the X-Eleven was easily the benchmark in our experience, and one of the most aerodynamically stable helmets on the market; improving upon it would be no easy task.
The X12 uses Shoei’s AIM+ fiber technology that is claimed to produce a lighter and stronger helmet shell, now configured to meet the new Snell 2010 standards. A new, larger plastic spoiler adorns the rear of the Shoei X12, and the new shell-forming technology developed by the company and also used on the new RF-1100 allows the X12 to come in an industry-leading five different shell sizes to cover the range of head sizes from XS to XXXL.
The new X12 also incorporates Shoei’s new patented QRSA (Quick Release Self-Adjusting) base plate system that pulls the shield evenly against the helmet’s eyeport seal once the shield is in the closed position, ensuring a wind and waterproof seal. The new wider and taller CW-1 faceshield is also used on the Shoei X12 (with a likewise larger eyeport); an additional benefit is that the new CWF-1 racing faceshields with tearoff buttons can be used without requiring readjustment. Plus, the CWF-1′s new tearoff buttons permit tearoff tension to be adjusted without tools. Both shields are also available with Shoei’s optional Pinlock inner lens fog-free system, utilizing a new design that now sits above the upper edge of the eyeport so that it no longer obscures vision as with the previous version.
Shoei engineers made use of the company’s wind tunnel to design the new Shoei X12 ventilation system, with a total of five intake and 10 exhaust vents making the Shoei X12 the most aggressively ventilated helmet the company has ever produced. New side extractor vents (with development help by the company’s MotoGP racing service) help clear warm, humid air from the racer’s face to increase comfort and reduce fogging. Working with the new ventilation system is a fully removable, washable, and replaceable 3D Max Dry liner, claimed to absorb and dissipate sweat two times faster than traditional nylon interiors. Cheek pads are available in variable thicknesses to allow riders to customize the fit of their new helmet, with the liner featuring eyeglass channels and an integrated neck pad.
Shoei also equipped the Shoei X12 with its EQRS (Emergency Quick Release System) that allows emergency medical personnel to easily remove the cheek pads from an injured rider’s helmet. Pulling on bright red tabs next to the cheekpads pops them free, enabling the helmet to be more easily removed from an injured rider’s head.
As with the new RF-1100, the QRSA base plate system is the most noticeable improvement to the new Shoei X12. Changing shields without having to readjust the base plates for an optimum seal is a major convenience, and helps make the helmet quieter (although the number of vents still generate considerable wind noise when open—that said, the helmet is intended for racing, so noise was not a primary consideration), as well as reducing bothersome drafts in the facial area. Swapping faceshields is still as easy as ever; pushing down on a lever releases the existing faceshield, and then simply lining up and pushing down snaps the next faceshield into place.
Aerodynamics are excellent, with the Shoei X12 demonstrating stability and an absence of buffeting and lift at speed that is lacking in other helmets. Some helmets have numerous spoilers and wings to resist lift but aren’t as clean aerodynamically, resulting in some buffeting and strain on the rider’s neck.
As far as ventilation, a slight improvement over the previous benchmark X-Eleven can be felt in the lower portion of the rider’s head, but everywhere else feels about the same. It’s definitely not a dramatic, night-and-day difference—but then again, the fact that Shoei engineers were able to improve on the X-Eleven’s outstanding cooling properties with the Shoei X12 while still meeting helmet safety standards can be considered an achievement.
The Shoei X12 is backed by a five-year warranty.
Here is a review by an Aussie Rider:
I’ve had the TZR, XR1000, and X11 - Very happy with all the helmets, especially in that despite some heavy knocks they kept brain inside skull and still functioning (arguably). By far my favorite was the X11, and although theres a few reviews around of the X12, none seemed to answer my questions about comparative noise, weight, fit between other models. So I bought one anyhow.
Noise:
In hindsight, the TZR was quite noisy, though quiet compared to the RJays thing before it. The XR1000 much quieter in general, but had an annoying whistling sound at around 75-90′s which needed a bead of silicone just above visor to solve. The X11, being a track helmet, was a quite a bit noisier. But without the annoying whistle.
I’d rate the X12 somewhere between the XR1000 and X11. But although noisier than the XR1000, in a way its a preferable noise. I’m speculating that the aerodynamics are much better, as wind noise is much more consistent. When tilting or turning head slightly, the sound does not wildly fluctuate, so its easier for the brain to tune the frequency out. Both road noise and wind noise seem to have dropped in frequency (more woosh than hiss) possibly due to the increase weight. For those that like hearing traffic, then this is still very clear. This applies up to about $1.40/$1.50, after which earplugs will be needed.
If you are happy with the X11, then you’ll love this one.
Comfort:
There are now 5 shell sizes which will help many get a great fit. I’m still large, so unchanged. As with all helmets, it was initially quiet tight, though no uneven pressure in any spot. After about a good day of riding the moulding had compressed a bit and its now a perfect fit. YMMV, as Shoei’s have always been a good container for the shape of my nut.
Haven’t yet had a 40+ degree day to try it out, but out in the sun stuck in traffic at 34 odd caused a little sweat, the internal padding certainly does its job disipating it though (better than the previous helmets). Whilst moving at legal speeds, airflow is barely noticable, but neither is any heat. I’m used to feeling a breeze flowing up from chin over face, so it might take a while getting used to. Will update when the temp hits 40 again. I’m wondering if the rear auto-open vents not being closable will cause brain freeze in winter though?
There an extra 150g of weight compared to the X11. Definately not noticable at any speed. Perhaps this is a benefit of the improved aero profile causing it to be more stable overall?. Even rapid direction changes caused no strain on neck. I did notice that at $2.00+ it was more difficult to turn head quickly. You probably shouldn’t make rapid head movement at this speed anyhow, and if you need to, you’re probably not thinking far enough ahead.
Visibility:
Not much to say apart from absolutely fucking awesome. I can’t imagine anything short of a skull cap helmet could compare with this. Unfortunately all of my existing visors won’t work with the new CW-1 system, so these will be coming cheap to a forsale thread soon.
Safety:
Not comprehensively tested by myself. I don’t plan on doing that for a while. But it complies with the new Snell 2010, and even more stringent EU standards (marketed over there as X-Spirit II). I’d imagine it would do an effective job of keeping the brain intact. Removable cheekpads will also help the ambo’s/hospital remove the helmet if it goes pearshaped (not sure whether they’d be aware of the existence, but they’re marked red)
(Mine doesn’t have an AS sticker on it, so its obviously unsafe for use on our roads)
All said and done though, the visibility gain is the sole factor which would make me buy it again.

Presently, most of the powerful nations of the world are concentrating on the application of green technology. Many promotional activities are run by non-profit organizations as well as government organizations to make the general public aware of renewable resources as well as alternate fuels. This report concentrates on increasing use of alternative fuels.
Alternate fuels are used as a substitute for gasoline. Nearly all of them are available as hydrogen, ethanol, methanol, propane, natural gas and biodiesel. Presently, they are being employed for domestic as well as industrial functions. Many nations have made these fuels available to the people, in different forms, to suit various requirements.
One remarkable thing is that experts employ various distribution and production processes for manufacturing industrial and domestic fuels. Thus, right after the introduction of this alternate technology, several smaller sized nations do not have to count on other nations for production of energy resources.
The chief advantage of utilizing alternate fuels is that they avoid the production of greenhouse gases like Carbon dioxide (as compared to gasoline and petrol). They have no adverse influences on the atmosphere. They are profitable for a nation’s gross economy and employment due to the fact that federal government of different countries is encouraging the production of green fuels. For this reason, they’re establishing manufacturing plants and hiring engineers. Hence, several people get jobs and the additional fuel is exported to nearby nations.
Moreover, apart from the preliminary setup costs of an industrial plant, no further costs incur in the case of alternative fuels. Therefore, an organization can make surplus profit soon after initial few years. Lastly, folk can purchase them at cost-effective rates.
Due to introduction of newest technologies, various green fuels are synthesized that ensure that different parts of your automobile are functioning smoothly. Thus, you can also enhance driving experience by utilizing these technologies.
Various automobile engineering firms have especially designed various automobile parts which will make your drive quicker and simpler. Such agencies think about various factors like utilization of advanced materials, driver’s performance, passenger’s ease and car performance whilst developing the automobile components.
